Battleship Potemkin is often listed in the top 10 greatest films of all time: influential, as a piece of propaganda art and revolutionary, for the film-making techniques used by Director Sergei Eisenstein.

The 1925 film shows the 1905 mutiny by sailors against Officers of the Imperial Russian Navy on board Battleship Potemkin; the display of popular support from the citizens of Odessa and the brutal suppression by Tsarist forces that followed.

Ed Hughes score matches Eisenstein’s visual montage with multi-layered music which merges electronic sounds and with militaristic percussion and brass in an expanded Kevos line-up.
